Forgiveness heals.

Allow yourself to dive deep into forgiveness and set your self free.

Holding onto resentments, guilt, shame or blame does not serve anyone, and most of all it does not serve you...

Your body cannot carry those toxic emotions stored in your cells forever... Release them and release you. Love. Forgive. Heal. Let Go.

Forgiving ourselves if often one of our greatest challenges... Find a way to let yourself off the hook, to love yourself anyway and to practice radical self-compassion. Write a forgiveness letter to yourself and mean it, give yourself that gift. Your self-critisim and shame are not serving anyone. Dive deep. Forgive. Heal. Let Go.

When needing to forgive others or seeking forgiveness, you might not always be able to speak directly to the person involved. Even if you can, you can use the following prayer to help shift the energy even before you talk. It is a prayer from Hawaii, called the Ho’oponopono, and consists of mindfully repeating four simple phrases:

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

All that matters is that you say them sincerely and from your heart.

“I’m Sorry.  Please Forgive Me.”
Repeat this gently and sincerely in your heart until you feel a sense of peace. (Typically after waves of emotions move through you).

After you feel that internally shift and the weight lifted from your heart, then repeat the last two phrases:

“Thank You.  I Love You.”
This will help to clear and heal the energy between you. It seals it in place and bathes you in love.

I believe in a Higher Power and for me that is God. I infuse these forgiveness exercises with God's love and allow His grace to wash over me. I seek to embody the compassion and love of Christ, both toward myself and others. I allow this experience of forgiveness to be a spiritual one...

You can use these exercises without any connection to a Higher Power, but I would encourage you to ask for guidance if you have a spiritual connection. You might even call upon the strength of your mother, or compassion of someone else who has come before you.

Take a moment to tune in to your stories. Is there something you can let go of today? Is there someone you can forgive?

Take one small step today and let go of one thing you have been holding onto.

Set your self free.

Let me know what happens when you do...

Loving you,

Heather
