STEP V:  PROCLAIM YOUR DESIRES!

The final step in this CLEANSING 2013 ritual is to PROCLAIM your DESIRES.

This step is sacred.  It is like a rite of passage.  An awakening to the Truth of that which yearns to be born in your life, in your heart and in your mind.  It is a reflection of your soul's higher purpose, aligned with your heart's desires and aspirations in this lifetime.  It is a declaration of your desire for authentic happiness and love for life.

Tune back into your desires.  What do you most want to feel as a result of your external achievements?  How do you long to feel?  It's time to check in and see if your external desires are in alignment with how you desire to feel…  What will it really take to feel the way you want to feel?  Are your achievements going to bring you those feelings or can you tap into those feelings from within you regardless of your external circumstances?  Are there other ways to tap into those feelings and fill your cup until it's spilling over?  Check in to see if some of your external desires fall away or perhaps even become stronger… once you bring the two together you will have greater clarity, focus and inspiration.  Having this type of clarity is super powerful to stay aligned with what you are wanting to create.  Filter out the desires that aren't in alignment with how you really want to feel.  Narrow your list, feel each desire as a calling from your soul, your desires should excite you, fill you up and make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Write down the desires that get you the most excited, feel vibrant and deeply aligned.

Ok, it's now time to stimulate your right brain and allow creativity to flow!

Get ready to create a vision board, an altar, a painting, a picture or a poem… Whatever your soul wants you to do to symbolize these feelings, to remind you throughout the year of what really matters in your life and what you are really wanting to achieve… Get creative; it doesn't have to be a vision board, it can even be an altar out in nature, a place where you can go to remind yourself of your devotion to you and this declaration of clarity and purpose in your life.  Take your paper with you and use your desires to come up with a symbol for each.

Tips to create a vision map:
- Have your desire lists with you
- Tune into your "inner artist" and allow creativity to flow
- Step outside of liner and rational thinking, ask your left brain to take a time out
- Play some inspiring music, light a candle, burn some incense, maybe dance around a little first
- Do what you need to do to feel connected and create a sacred space for this work
- Allow creativity and inspiration to flow through you
- Search through old magazines, collect pictures, draw words or symbols
- Find a picture, symbol or word to represent each and every desire
- Connect the pictures with your words
- Feel them, see them and allow them to come to life on your vision map

These are some of the feelings your vision map should stimulate when you look at it:
- Inspiring, Uplifting, Exciting, Bright, Joyful, Soulful, Meaningful

Create a beautiful, soulful representation of your DESIRES.  I love how Danielle La Porte in The Desire Map helps us to make a subtle distinction when coming up with words or phrases.  She reminds us that words can steer us to look outward to achieve a certain feeling or to look within.  Meaning "we are either consciously looking to our inner power or unconsciously looking to the outside for what we want."

Say this phrase:  "I want to feel loved."
Now say this:  "I want to feel love."

Feel the difference?  Its pretty huge!! Doesn't the latter feel so much Empowering and Soulful?  Take your power back in 2014 and start cultivating inner strength, fulfillment and wisdom from within!

And for all of us who tend to overgive or overdo check out these distinctions from The Desire Map:

Say this phrase:   "I want to feel loving."
Now say this:   "I wan to feel love."

In this distinction she reminds us that loving as verb is something we have to do, and if we are choosing a word because we think we need to improve, or catch up, or prove ourselves, then we are shortchanging ourselves.  And yes, for some us tapping into being more "loving" is the perfect word to focus on…  Simply be aware of your intention and the energy behind the phrase, word and desire you are aiming for.

Ok, it's time for you to create and to PROCLAIM YOUR DESIRES!  Declare them, stand strong, feel them deep within you, see them filling your entire Being and expanding all around you.

Have fun and enjoy the process of deep exploration, radical self-honesty and divine inspiration!

Happy New Year Everybody!!

Love & Abundant Blessings,

Heather
